So I am wondering, what exercise could I put in place of harmony 2 to help me hit those high notes? I do not want to push on chest voice, but I still want power in my voice. Thanks! Charmaine on March 9, 2018 at 2:18 pm For working on “harmony 2” as per the video, I would recommend replacing the lyrics with a head voice GOO or a light-sounding MUM exercise (not pushing up chest voice) on the verse/chorus harmony, and a whiny pharyngeal NAY in the bridge to give it lots of power! emkw14 on March 9, 2018 at 4:20 pm That helps so much! Thank you! One side question though, is “MUM” slightly nasally in this instance? Or pure head voice? Charmaine on March 9, 2018 at 7:49 pm It all depends on how the lead singer is singing it… and I encourage you to try out these harmonies with some YouTube versions of the song! If the lead melody is singing pretty light and soft, make your MUM more of a light head voice tone. If they’re singing louder and more full out, make your MUM more of a pharyngeal mix with a cry sound! Great questions! Jasmine on October 17, 2017 at 5:57 pm Awesome. We’ve JUST learnt this song 🙂 Charmaine on October 18, 2017 at 12:45 pm Awesome! Such a great song! Submit a Comment Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
