Hey worship vocalists! “This is Amazing Grace” is currently the top song being sung at churches all around the world—perhaps you’re singing it at your church this Sunday! Maybe you love the song but you find yourself reaching and straining for the high notes… maybe you find yourself worrying more about the sound of your voice and what’s going wrong than being able to focus on leading your congregation confidently. I want to help with that!
Check out the tips in this video to learn how to:
- sing energetically and powerfully
- release tension on the high notes by engaging the pharyngeal resonator
- sing in a contemporary, conversational tone
- find the right foundation of resonance so that singing becomes WAY EASIER!
Hi Charmaine and Jason! Thank you so much for the harmony tutorials. So helpful when preparing for a rehearsal. Appreciate your gifting with this!
You’re very welcome! Glad they’ve been helpful!
Thank you Charmaine for this wonderful tutorial! You piece together these lyrics so well 🎉 I almost wish that these songs had it download of your alternate lyrics. Would that be possible? Or maybe I could give it a shot and post in the group and see if I get them right? I have the pronunciation guide but I’m not sure that I would apply these words properly.
Hey Holli! This is one of my older tutorials before I was doing as much of the lyric pronunciation as I am now. For now, I’m not able to provide a download of notes, as it’s not on the top priority list. Perhaps in the future! I encourage you to take your own notes though, as you’re going through the video, and to go further than that, print out the lyrics for the song and create your own pronunciation guide as best you can! If you have specific questions about the pronunciation for a particular song, best to post it here in the comments under the video (not in the FB group), so I can answer it here and it can help anyone who sees these questions/comments in the future! Thanks!
